Embarking on a day hike up Mount Kilimanjaro can enhance your Expert Africa safari experience. The adventure commences around 6:30 am with a pick-up from your accommodation in either Arusha or Moshi. The journey to Marangu gate takes approximately 2 hours from Arusha and 1 hour from Moshi. Upon reaching the gate, you will be greeted by your skilled Kilimanjaro climbing guide and complete the necessary registration procedures before commencing the climb around 8:30 am.
